BCAMA Event – “Please Don’t Change! Redesigning MEC.ca”

Mountain Equipment Co-op has been a leader in providing great gear, clothing and services to its over 3 million members for nearly 40 years. MEC recently undertook an ambitious website redesign project, even though its current website had strong customer satisfaction scores, there was no major brand updates driving a need to change and the industry trend was moving away from “the major redesign” towards small optimizations. Learn why MEC chose to redesign its site, how they managed the redesign process and how the site has performed following the re-launch. DCBA Accounting Event: Summer Social BBQ

DCBA has partnered up with several other Lower Mainland Universities to bring you the Second Annual Summer Social BBQ! This event was a huge success last year and will only be bigger and more spectacular this year. Not only do we anticipate this years BBQ to have an amazing turnout of students, but we also expect to see even better representation from CA firms!

The next British Columbia American Marketing Association (BCAMA) event is on next Tuesday, February 9, 2010.
The topic is on :
Perfecting Your Pitch – Build Your Ideal Elevator Speech and Practice Effective Networking!
This is a great opportunity to practice your pitch in a business professional environment. Just like in Marketing Practicum Class, your pitch needs to capture the attention of the audience and leave them wanting more. This event will show you how to create your own powerful pitch to create more business opportunities to increase sucess. It has a structured networking session to practice and perfect your elevator speech so bring lots of Business Cards! Also Howard Olsen, Founder and President of High Output Training Systems, will be present to help create powerful and engaging pitches.
